The young couple, along with their child and parents, had a clear vision for their dream nhouse. They wanted a home that would defy conventional norms and exude a unique sense of individuality and character. At the same time, they desired a design that would align with their simple ways of living and not be burdensome in terms of maintenance and upkeep.

Thus the home focused on open-plan spaces to enhance social interactions and foster a sense of togetherness. The design incorporated sensory experiences through a lily pond and a backyard garden, as well as the play of light and shadow inside the home. The open-plan layout facilitated communication and provided flexibility for both communal activities and individual retreat. The integration of nature and the use of light and shadow added depth, character, and a multi-sensory experience, creating a harmonious and stimulating environment for the family.

The design focused on maximizing the entry of natural light and facilitating cross ventilation throughout the house. Strategically placed windows, skylights, and open- plan layouts allowed for the unhindered flow of light and air, creating bright and airy living spaces.
